Our HD Bond System was designed to improve every aspect of your ceramic coating experience. Our approach was simple. Ceramic Coatings are awesome but what if we can make them even better?

Standard ceramic coatings are great. Especially ceramic coatings from IGL Coatings (read more here). But, there are certain built in characteristics that ask quite a bit of the coating. The formula that is in the bottle from the manufacturer, the actual ceramic coating formula, has a lot of heavy lifting it needs to do. When you get under the hood and look at the chemistry, that formula is doing a ton of work. One of those jobs is to try to bond to the paintwork as quickly as it can before the formula flashes off and starts to harden. One quirky thing about automotive clear coats is, it was designed to protect the base coat of the paint system. By definition, it's poor substrate for bonding with as it is designed to keep things out. There aren't many preferred bonding points at the molecular level.

That's where HD Bond comes in. We off-load that initial heavy work load. We saturate your vehicles paint work with preferred bonding points. Our formula literally steals all available bonding points in the paintwork, creates a permanent chemical bond to the paint, and then turns around and presents an incredible amount if SI-O bonding points for the ceramic coating to adhere to. This is the preferred bonding method for ceramic coatings. This is what makes them happy. It takes no effort on their part to form these bonds with our HD Bond Coat. It can make as many bonding points as it can possibly make before flashing off and starting it's curing process.

This creates an incredibly dense, strong, permanent chemical bond across the coating matrix.
